Hub Commercial Ventures CIC - Social Spaces for Social Change
Hub Commercial Ventures CIC is the sister social enterprise to the national charity Student Hubs. It runs commercial operations which support the work of the charity and currently has a turnover of £1,000,000+ per year.
Our first venture is based around 16-17 Turl Street, the home of the Oxford Hub, where we run the Turl Street Kitchen - an all-day drinking and dining destination open to all - rent events and meeting rooms space, and offices. Turl Street - Our story
Almost 2 years ago someone at the Oxford Hub let their imagination run a little bit wild and saw a 9,000 sqft building on Turl Street in dire need of some love.
Fast forward and you join us now; a team running a new home for the Oxford Hub, which includes great events spaces, a library, offices for charities and social enteprises, and the Turl Street Kitchen on the ground floor.
16-17 Turl Street has been a few things over the last decade. From fish restaurant to Indian eatery, a Stephen Fry inspired private members club to the 8th best vodka bar in Britain. We hope the Oxford Hub will be embedded in the fabric of Oxford City for the long term, bringing students and the local community together in a space for positive social change.
