Hub Commercial Ventures CIC is a company limited by shares, currently funded by c.£1,000,000 of philanthropic loan financing. We're aiming to reach £1,000,000 revenue in 2011-12 so watch this space for more about how we're doing.
If you'd like to hear more about our financial model or would like to discuss investment opportunities in HCV then please get in touch with Adam O'Boyle, Executive Director.
Once we have paid back our loan our profits will be distributed to our community of benefit, which is our sister charity, Student Hubs - parent organisation to Oxford Hub.
We aim to run commercially successful operations, which have some relationship to the work of Student Hubs, our sister charity, and reflect the values embedded in the charity’s operations, but can be successful ventures in their own right.
Founded in 2007, Student Hubs is the parent charity of Oxford Hub and works in UK universities to transform student involvement in charitable activities. We act as a catalyst, empowering students to become active members of their community by promoting social action, philanthropy and volunteering. See www.studenthubs.org for more information.
